Movie Musical Challenge: Intro

I don't know how much I've shared it here, but I LOVE MUSICALS. In high school, I did quite a bit of theatre, and it was absolutely my favorite experience. So, when Charlene said she was challenging herself to watch the American Film Institute's Top 25 Greatest Musicals list, I jumped at the chance to do so as well.

I don't think I've got the greatest record when it comes to challenges for myself, but this is one I think I can do. I'll be watching throughout the year, in the list's reverse order--as Charlene is doing, because I like the sound of that (It'll end with Singin' In the Rain, which is hands down my favorite movie musical of all time. YAY!) and posting a bit about my likes and dislikes--probably one post a month, with more than one movie featured--and then wrap it up in December!

I've seen about half this list, and there are a bunch I've always wanted to see, so I'm very excited to have a reason to seek them out. I really can't wait to start with Moulin Rouge!. It's a favorite. :)

If this sounds like something you'd like to do, head on over to Charlene's post and let her know! I know I'd love to read more people's thoughts on the movies listed--the more, the merrier!
